Irregularity in urine: juice of the radish is very beneficial for urinary tract pain. 60 to 90 ml of the juice should be consumed according to the problem. It can be consumed number of times throughout the day. 

Radish is amongst the most consumed vegetables in subcontinent. This hairy vegetable is grown yearly. It is a root vegetable so it doesn’t have a trunk or leaves but grows green leaves directly from root. There is only one root which is round and is either red or white. It is slightly rough and meaty but very juicy. It is 10 to 20 cm long and 3 to 7 cm thick. It increases appetite and promotes blood circulation. There are many types of radishes which differ in size and colour. Red or white is more popular. Initially it is very soft and delicate but after it has ripened it becomes hard. To reap all the benefits of radish it should be eaten raw. All its minerals are lost upon cooking. Leaves of radish are eaten as a salad or cooked as well. A leaf of the radish contains calcium, phosphorous, vitamin c and proteins in a greater quantity. Health and natural benefits:  leaves of radish helps sort out urinary problems, scurvy and is laxative. Root of the radish also helps in combating scurvy and treats it. The seed of the radish eliminates phlegm. Produces urine and is laxative.

Treatment of haemorrhoids: juice of the radish and fresh root is an excellent treatment of haemorrhoids. Approximately 60 to 90 ml of its juice should be consumed morning and night.

Chest pain: Use fresh juice of radish one teaspoon, honey and salt in equal quantities for sore throat, whooping cough, bronchitis and many other diseases of chest. It is very beneficial for these. Use this concoction three times daily. 

Hepatitis: the green leaves of radish are beneficial for hepatitis C. Crush the leaves and squeeze the juice out of these in a cloth. To get rid of the bitterness you can add sugar in it. Adults can consume half kg of this juice daily and it’ll be very beneficial. It increases appetite and helps in excretion combating the disease. 

Eliminating vitiligo: the paste of the seeds of the radish is very good for it. Take 35 gm of the seeds and add vinegar to it and the paste is ready to use. Use the paste on white spots of leukoderma. For better results when you are grinding the seeds add a pinch of arsenic in it and soak them in vinegar overnight. After two hours leaves will emerge. Apply them onto the white marks on the body. Note: for external use only. 

Other skin diseases: radish leaves have cleaning power and emulsion of radish seeds (made with water) when put on face get rids of black moles and pigmentation. Infact it is used to kill ring worms.
